There is a new Client Portal setting that was added in August 2026 that allows text (SMS) message notifications to be sent when Additional Documents and Questionnaires are sent to clients. It will also sent a text message when a new +Messages are sent to the client.
This new feature is not enabled by default. The System Administrator or Assistant System administrator for the Practice can enable it.
To turn on this feature, the System Administrator or Assistant System administrator goes to the Practices Client Portal settings.
New Client Portal invitations can't be sent via Text/SMS notification channels. These must remain as Email message only.
