1. The client will automatically receive an email when you change an appointment and created a missed appointment note. The email is sent by default. To disable this feature see #5 below.
2. The cancellation "Reason" selected from the dropdown menu in the note template will now be included in the email sent to the client.
3. The "Additional Comments to Patient" box on the note template can now provide further details to your client. If you enter anything in this box the client will see it. Filling out this box is optional.
5. To turn this feature off go to a clinician's settings page and clicking on the Client Reminders link. See below.
To turn it off the Cancellation email sending, uncheck the check box shown below.
5. Template Variables
The template had variables in brackets shown above. The template doesn't require any modifications to start using it. If do edit the template, be careful to not mess with the items in brackets. Items in brackets get filled in automatically when you create a missed appointment note.
Let's describe what each variable does:
{{ClinicianName}}
The assigned clinician's name is automatically inserted.
{{Date}}, {{time}}
These come from the date and time the appointment was schedule for and are inserted automatically
{{Reason}}
This variable is populated from the Reason drop down in the Missed Appointment Note. The items in the Reason dropdown can't be customized.
{{AdditionalCommentsToPatient}}
CAUTION: The information you enter in the "Additional Comments to Patient" box will be included in the email that goes to the client and will be visible to them when the appointment is cancelled. Entering information in the Additional Comments to Patient box is optional.
