In the Practice Settings there is an option called Insurance Billing settings. Here is an example of that settings page:
The defaults that come with each subscription are:
- Billing Service
- Clearinghouse Claims-Batch Files
- Clearinghouse Claims-Direct
- CMS-1500 or Superbill
- Insurance Billing
- Private Pay
- Unassigned.
When a Practice configures a client's insurance billing settings page, one of these options can be selected. You can make any one of them the default so you don't have to choose it each time.
If you need to add an additional Insurance Billing Method, click th + Add Billing Method button to do so.
