The Messages feature can be used by System Administrators, Assistant System Administrators, Clinical Directors, Billers and Schedulers to send Messages to one or more ACTIVE clients.
There is a switch in the Practice's Client Portal Settings that must be enable before the can happen.
When one of these staff members wishes to send a message, they can click on the Messages option on the blue menu bar at the top fo their Dashboard.
Here is the Messages page:
In this example, Roger Griffen is a Biller and Scheduler. He can create a new message by clicking on the + New Message button shown by the red arrow above.
The following screen appears to aid him in making the appropriate selections:
Here are some possible combinations:
- A message can be created and sent to a single client of a selected clinician.
- A message can be created and sent to ALL active clients for a selected clinician.
- A message can be created and sent to ALL active clients for ALL clinicians.
- The messages can include or exclude Partners as needed by selecting the desired radio buttons.
The Subject and Message boxes are required. Care should be taken to make sure the message is crafted appropriately for the clients who will receive the message. If ALL clients and/or ALL clinicians is chosen, a warning message will appear when the Send button is pressed to alert the staff member of their selections. IF A MESSAGE IS SENT TO THE WRONG AUDIENCE OR CLIENTS IT CAN'T BE RETRACTED. BE CAREFUL!
