CMS-1500 Print Margin Settings – TherapyMate

Before you can print a CMS-1500, you should ensure that your print margins are set to “none or zero” on your printer’s page setup or page settings. The reason your margins need to be set to none or zero is so the form fits the paper properly so the insurance company can scan the CMS-1500 into their system. If the page isn’t printed on the page properly your claims could be rejected.

Please Note: We don’t recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer or Edge for printing CMS-1500s. The settings for these two browsers are not capable of producing the correct results. Some printers are not capable mechanically to print to the far edges of the page or line up the text properly in the boxes. In these cases you will need to use a different printer. HP brand printers usually produce good results.

Here are some instructions on how to do this using Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

Chrome

When you go to print a page using Chrome you will see a window similar to the one below. This window is the same on a Mac or Windows PC.

Click on the + More setting option that is highlighted above. This will display more options for you. You should now see an option called Margins. Set that to None as shown below.

Click the Print button when done.

Firefox (Mac)

When you select print on your Mac you will see a print window like the one below. Click on the Paper Size Drop down.

Select Manage Custom Sizes from the dropdown menu.

On the screen below you can create a custom paper size where the Non-printable Area or page margins are set to zero. To do this click on the + button and set the values to zero. The double click the work Untitled on the left to give your new paper size a name. I chose to call mine CMS-1500.

Click OK when done. From now own whenever you need to print a CMS-1500 you can choose your new Paper Size.

Firefox (Windows)

Click on the three bars that are stacked on top of each other on the top right corner of your Firefox browser window. From the dropdown click on Print.
